Tennis Postponed This Week

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- The Elon Doubles Invitational, in which ECU's men's and women's tennis teams were scheduled to compete, has been postponed due to projected inclement weather due to Hurricane Isabel, officials announced today.
The tournament was scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18, in Elon, N.C. A makeup date has not been announced.
It was to be the season opener for the East Carolina women, who will now begin play Sept. 26-27 by hosting the ECU Invitational.
The Pirate men's team will also participate in the ECU Invitational. They opened their season last weekend by hosting a four-team invitational.
