Tennis Teams Turn in Exceptional Performances in Fall Academics

All six of Coach Tom Morris' men's team earned grade point averages of 3.0 or better this past fall semester as the team posted a cumulative GPA of 3.26. One -- freshman J.R. Gudger -- was named to ECU's Dean's List (3.5 or higher).
The ECU women had seven members with GPAs of 3.0 or better. Two -- sophomore Kirstin Buchanan and junior Cristina Meilicke -- earned Dean's List status while junior Raluca Baicu and freshman Lindsay Weaver were both Chancellor's List students with perfect 4.0 GPAs for the semester.
For the fall semester, the women's team GPA was a cumulative 3.48.
Both the Pirate men and women's teams will return to action the weekend of Jan. 30-Feb. 1. The ECU men will host the Power of One Tournament while the Lady Pirates travel to the VCU Invitational.
