
Lingo Tosses No-Hitter Against JMU To Complete Series Sweep

With the victories, East Carolina improved to 41-14-1 on the season, while James Madison fell to 21-23 overall.
The lone run of game two scored in the first inning on an RBI-double from junior Kate Manuse.
Lingo walked two over her seven innings and didn't strikeout a batter in recording her 14th win of the season. Freshman Renee' Bounds was saddled with loss and falls to 5-5 on the season as she scattered five hits over seven innings, while fanning a career-high seven Pirates.
In the first game, the Pirates scored one run in the third inning on an RBI-single by senior Kristen Johnson and two in the fourth on a JMU fielding error and a double-steal.
ECU got a complete-game, two-hitter from freshman Keli Harrell, who improved to 12-4 on the season. Sophomore Briana Carrera fell to 8-9 on the year for JMU.
The Pirates return to action Wednesday, April 21 in Chapel Hill against North Carolina. Game one of the doubleheader is scheduled for 3 p.m.
