ECU Baseball Takes The Field For Practice
January 19, 2005 | Baseball
"It feels good to get back out onto the baseball field again," said ECU head coach Randy Mazey. "It has seemed like forever since last season. We have been very anxious to get started and we're looking forward to the start of the season as well as beginning play in our new park."
ECU returns 17 letterman from last year's record-breaking squad and welcome 12 newcomers that will help continue a strong winning tradition at East Carolina.
The Pirates will open their season on the road against College of Charleston on Feb. 11, and will begin play in the new stadium when they host the Second Annual Keith LeClair Classic March 4-6. Teams participating in the classic include ECU, Arizona State, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina and Ohio State.
