
East Carolina's Divers Compete At NCAA Zone Diving Championships

"Qualifying for this elite event is such a great accomplishment for them," ECU head diving coach Rich MacDonald said. "I am extremely proud of these individuals for thier performances this season."
Senior Detwiler finished his tremendous collegiate career finishing 36th and 38th on the three-meter (225.95) and one-meter boards (202.90). Freshman Hunt finished the one-meter event scoring 206.10, placing him in 37th place.
Freshman Icenhower was the lone female to qualify, but made an impact finishing in the top half of the field in the three-meter, placing 23rd (249.95). She also competed in the one-meter event placing 38th scoring a 202.
"I am really looking forward to working with Christie and Ryan for the next three years," added MacDonald. "They have the potential to be some of the best male and female divers to ever compete at ECU."
