
Field Set For 2005 Bradford Creek Intercollegiate

GREENVILLE, N.C. -- The East Carolina University men's golf team will host the 10th annual Bradford Creek Intercollegiate golf tournament this weekend, Friday and Saturday, March 18-19. The tournament is being held at the par-72, 7,151-yard Bradford Creek Golf Course in Greenville, N.C.
The Pirates (42-57-2) are one of 18 schools participating in this year's event along with: American University, Appalachian State, Belmont Abbey, Campbell, Cocker College, Davidson, Gardner-Webb, Georgetown, Kennesaw State, Long Island, Longwood, Miami (Ohio), Old Dominion, Post University, Seton Hall, Tennessee State and Virginia Commonwealth.
Last year Campbell took home the tournament title with a 54-hole score of 852, followed by UNC Wilmington (858), Georgetown and Coastal Carolina (870) and ECU (872).
In the individual portion of the event, Braxton Wynns (Campbell) and Andy Bare (UNCG) shared the title after posting a 205 tournament total.
After continuous rains over the past two days in Greenville, N.C., tournament officials have reduced the event to 36-holes with a first round shotgun start scheduled for 12 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Second round action will begin at 8:10 am on Saturday.
