ATHENS, GA.? East Carolina's Adrienne Millican currently sits in a tie for 14th at the prestigious Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic after recorded a second round two-over par 74. The tournament is being played at the par-72, 6,228-yard University of Georgia Golf Club in Athens, Georgia.
Millican (150) trails overall tournament leader Linday Hulwick (Tulane) by five strokes and is four strokes out of second place heading in to final round action on Sunday.
In the team portion of the event, the Pirates (74-32-2) carded a second round score of 313 and are tied with Mississippi State and Florida State for 15th. Host school (No. 6) Georgia leads Tulane (599) by seven strokes, while LSU (600) and Auburn (601) are third and fourth respectively.
Fellow Pirate teammate Heidi Helliesen is tied for 42nd after shooting a second round score of 77.
Final round action begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
