
Gaylord Perry To Throw Out First Pitch Wednesday Night

A $10.00 donation per item signed will support the Pirate Club. Fans need to bring their own baseballs, caps, programs, or any other items they wish to have the pitching great sign. The autograph session will begin at 5:45 p.m. and last until 6:45 p.m.
A native of Williamston, N.C., Perry won two Cy Young awards in his 22-year career with eight different MLB teams. The five-time all-star, who tallied 314 career wins and an ERA of 3.10 in over 5,000 innings pitched, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. in 1991.
East Carolina (18-13, 4-8 C-USA) will face No. 7 North Carolina (27-6, 11-2 ACC) at Clark-LeClair Stadium at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the first of two meetings between the two schools this year. The Pirates will then travel to Louisville to face the Cardinals in a three-game series this weekend.
