Greenville, N.C. - Due to inclement weather in the Greenville area, Sunday's Conference USA series finale between East Carolina and Memphis has been cancelled. Per conference rules, the game will not be rescheduled.
The two teams split a doubleheader yesterday. The Tigers took game one 8-3 while the Pirates bounced back to capture the nightcap 5-0. In game two, Toni Paisley threw a complete game shutout while also matching her career-high in strikeouts with 11.
ECU will return to action Tuesday when they travel south to Wilmington for a rescheduled doubleheader with the UNCW Seahawks. The two squads were to play last Wednesday but inclement weather and scheduling issues forced the change to Tuesday. First pitch of the doubleheader is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Boseman Field on the UNCW campus.
