
Pirate Baseball Headed To Conway Regional

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina baseball team will make its 23rd NCAA Regional appearance and ninth in the last 10 years after earning a No. 2 seed at the Conway Regional in this year's NCAA Baseball Championships.
The Pirates (40-19) will square off against No. 3 Alabama (34-26) in the first round of the regional on Friday, May 30 at 7 p.m. (ET) while top seeded Coastal Carolina (47-12) will face No. 4 Columbia (22-28) at 1 p.m.
Of the three potential opponents the Pirates will face, ECU has never played Alabama or Columbia, and are 5-6 against the Chanticleers with the last meeting taking place on May 16, 2006 in Conway where the Pirates fell 9-4.
There are a limited number of tickets available to the Conway Regional through the ECU Athletic Ticket Office. Ticket orders will be accepted from Pirate Club members on Tuesday, May 27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pirate Club members should call the Athletic Ticket Office at 252-328-4500 or 1-800-DIAL-ECU. Orders will be filled in Pirate Club priority order. Members whose orders are not able to be filled will be notified Wednesday, May 28 by noon. East Carolina will only have single-game tickets for their sessions only at $15 per game.
