
Bristow Selected By Cubs In '08 MLB Draft

GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina right-hander Justin Bristow was the lone Pirate taken on day one of the 2008 Major League Baseball Amateur Draft Thursday when the Chicago Cubs selected him in the fifth round with the 161st overall pick.
Bristow, a native of Richmond, Va., is the eighth highest draft pick in ECU history and the 19th Pirate drafted since 2003.
The 2008 MLB Draft will continue Friday morning at 11:30 a.m. (ET) starting with round seven and will continue until all 50 rounds are completed.
