
ECU Continues Appearance In National Polls

GREENVILLE, N.C. - After posting a 3-1 week, which included wins over Old Dominion (8-3), Le Moyne (18-9) and Indiana (5-3), the East Carolina baseball team appeared in a pair of national collegiate baseball polls that were released Monday afternoon.
The Pirates (8-2), who are ranked for the fourth consecutive week for the first time since the 2007 season, stayed at No. 20 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll and dropped two spots in the Collegiate Baseball weekly poll to No. 26.
ECU joins Rice as the only Conference USA schools represented in this week's NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball polls.
The Pirates will be back on the diamond Tuesday, Mar. 10 when the first of nine consecutive home games at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium on Tuesday, Mar. 10 against UNC Asheville. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. (EDT).
