
ECU Receives Ranking In Four Major Polls

GREENVILLE, N.C. - After an impressive 4-1 week which included a 4-0 win over No. 1 North Carolina and a Conference USA series win over Southern Miss, the East Carolina baseball once again received national recognition when it garnered national rankings in four major polls Monday afternoon.
The Pirates (32-13, 12-6 C-USA) were tabbed No. 21 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA), No. 22 by the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll, No. 25 by Baseball America and made a return trip to the Collegiate Baseball poll landing at No. 30.
This week's rankings marks the longest active streak ranked in at least one poll, 11 consecutive weeks, since the 2004 season.
The Pirates will be back on the field Tuesday, April 28 when they travel to Burlington, N.C. to face off against Elon with a first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m. (EDT).
