GREENVILLE, N.C. - For the 25th consecutive week, the East Carolina baseball team finds themselves ranked in three national polls Monday afternoon following a 3-2 week and a non-conference series win over 2009 Northeast Conference Champions Monmouth.
The Pirates (11-8) are ranked No. 25 by Rivals.com (down nine spots), No. 27 by Ping!Baseball (down six) and No. 29 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (down four), while dropping out completely from Baseball America and the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll.
This week's rankings extend the Pirates streak that dates back to the start of the 2009 season, where ECU has been ranked in at least one national poll.
The Pirates will continue their 13-game home stand this week when they play host to High Point (Mar. 23 at 6 p.m.), N.C. A&T (Mar. 24 at 6 p.m.) and N.C. Central this weekend (Mar. 26-28).
