GREENVILLE, N.C. - After posting a perfect 4-0 week which included wins over Campbell and a Conference USA series sweep of UAB, the East Carolina baseball team enters this week's action ranked No. 21 by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
The Pirates (24-12, 6-3) moved up five spots in the NCBWA poll and are receiving votes in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll for the fourth-straight week.
This week's ranking extends the Pirates streak to 29-straight weeks ranked in at least one national poll dating back to the start of the 2009 season.
ECU will travel to Campbell for a midweek contest on Tuesday before hosting in-state rival N.C. State on Wednesday. The Pirates will return to C-USA action this weekend when they travel to Rice for a showdown with the Owls in a battle of first-place teams.
