
East Carolina Rolls Past Presbyterian, 7-0

CLINTON, S.C - The East Carolina women's tennis squad swept six singles matches in straight sets and earned the doubles point to post its third-straight win with a convincing 7-0 non-conference road victory over Presbyterian Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Pirates (5-1) opened the match by capturing the doubles point against the Blue Hose. Tandems Natalie Collins and Petra Vogel (8-2), along with Audrey LePottier and Yilian Zhang (8-4), each contributed triumphs at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions to clinch the first tally.
ECU continued its strong effort in singles play, outscoring Presbyterian by a combined 73-27 score in all six flights. Vogel (No. 1), Collins (No. 2), LePottier (No. 3), Neena Wanko (No. 4), Manon Bissat (No. 5) and Zhang (No. 6) all recorded victories - four sets coming in 6-0 fashion.
East Carolina will remain in the Upstate when it plays the second of an eight-match roadswing Friday by facing Furman at 2 p.m.
