Pirates Tied For Seventh At Sea Best Invitational

PONTE VERDA BEACH, Fla. - The East Carolina men's golf team wrapped up the initial 36 holes at the 2012 Sea Best Invitational on Monday, sitting in a tie for seventh at 37-over par 613 (317-396). Tomorrow's final round at the PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass is scheduled to begin with an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start.
The Pirates' two-round total of 613 has them tied with East Tennessee State and 26 strokes behind leader Florida, which is 11-over par (303-284=587) after the second of three rounds.
ECU senior Harold Varner finished the day in third-place with an two round score of par 144 (74-70). Varner trails clubhouse leader T.J. Vogel of Florida by two strokes. Pirate sophomore Ryan Eibner sits just four strokes off the lead after shooting a two-over 146 (75-71) and is tied for fifth-place.
Senior Zach Edmondson is tied for 46th at 15-over par 159 (87-72) while senior David Watkins is tied for 57th at 20-over 164 (81-83). Senior Jake Colley carded a 27-over 171 (87-84).
