GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina's Marketing Department has announced its promotions schedule for the upcoming softball season.
Four days in April will be filled with special events, starting with the doubleheader against Longwood on the 18th. The two games against the Lancers will be the Pirates' Strikeout Cancer event, promoting cancer awareness. Fans in attendance for those two contests are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer.
During the next home contests, a doubleheader versus Southern Miss on April 21, East Carolina will hold Youth Day, when members of the Pitt County Girls' Softball League will have the opportunity to come on the field with the Pirate players for the national anthem.
On the following day, the 22nd, members of the Exceptional Community Baseball League will be able to play a game with ECU after the conclusion of the finale against the Golden Eagles. Rounding out the home promotions schedule is the last home game of the season, April 29 versus Marshall, which will serve as the team's Senior Day.
In addition to these special game days, autograph sessions with the Pirates will take place after the second contest of Saturday doubleheaders and following Sunday matchups.
Party packages are also available for interested fans. A minimum of 10 people are required to host a party and the price starts at $100. As part of the event, individuals receive a game ticket in the reserved seating area, a personalized greeting on the video board and over the public address system and a choice of a pizza or hot dog meal in addition to a cupcake for all members of the party.
For more information on any of these events, please contact Brad Coleman in the ECU Marketing Department at 252-737-4532 or at colemanb@ecu.edu.
