2012 Seahawk Intercollegiate Results
The Pirates, who trailed the Demon Deacons by four strokes at the end of the first round, are playing well as a team placing all five golfers in the top-35. Newcomer Eric Brady, who joined the Pirates at the start of the semester after transferring from Duke, Brady posted a tournament low-round of, 67, in the second-round, propelling him up the leader board from 18th into a tie for fourth-place (75-67=142). He is three strokes behind South Carolina's Wesley Bryan (68-71=139) for the individual lead.
ECU senior Adam Stephenson (71-73=144) is five strokes off the lead and is in sole possession of ninth-place. Sophomore Ryan Eibner rebounded to shoot par in round two after shooting 4-over on the initial 18 holes and is tied for 16th (76-72=148).
The Pirates' top two players, seniors Harold Varner and David Watkins, also each finished the day over-par. Watkins carded a six-over 150 (74-76) to finish first round tied for 23rd, while Varner completed the day at 10-over (82-70=152), tied for 34th.
