
Pirates Set To Host River Landing Intercollegiate

WALLACE, N.C. --- The East Carolina men's golf team is set to co-host the River Landing Intercollegiate at River Landing in Wallace, N.C. on April 6-7. The tournament, co-hosted by UNC Wilmington, features 12 teams and assorted individuals in a 54-hole format.
On Friday, players will begin with an 7:30 am start where they will play 36 holes, and on Saturday, they will conclude the tournament with an 18 hole round starting at 8:00 am.
The 12-team field is made up of Duke, Jacksonville, Maryland, Liberty, North Carolina, North Carolina State, South Carolina, VCU, Virginia Tech, Winthrop along with the host Pirates and Seahawks.
The course is par-72, 6,901 yard course designed by nationally acclaimed architect Clyde Johnston of Hilton Head, S.C. His design takes full advantage of the natural beauty of our gorgeous region which includes scenic lakes and lush woodlands and the Northeast Cape Fear River.
Last season, East Carolina won the team competition at the River Landing Intercollegiate with a three-round total of 841. UNC Wilmington's Josh Brock took home individual medalist honors with a15-under-par 201.
