2012 River Landing Intercollegiate Team-By-Team Results 
The Flames fired a 5-under 283 to assume to the lead at the end of the first round. The Terrapins and Wolfpack each shot 2-under 286 to tie for second-place. North Carolina (289) is six strokes off the lead in fourth-place followed by No. 18 Duke (291) in fifth-place, eight strokes back.
Co-hosts East Carolina (304) and UNC Wilmington (314) stand 10th and 12th.
Liberty's Robert Karlsson and Maryland's Jordan Sweet are tied for the overall individual lead at 4-under 68. ECU's Jack Keefe and N.C. State's Mitchell Sutton are tied for third-place at 2-under 70 with nine players tied for fifth at one-under 71.
Despite the rainy conditions that delayed the start of play by more than two hours, 25 of the 78 players shot par or better today.
Keefe and Connor Sock, both playing as individuals, were the only ECU golfers to complete round with a score of par or better. Sock shot par-72 and is tied for 14th. Eric Brady fired a 2-over 74; Zach Edmondson shot 3-over, while Adam Stephenson and Ryan Eibner each carded a 4-over.
ECU seniors Harold Varner and David Watkins each shot 1-over on the front nine before Varner fired a 6-over on the backside to finish the round at 7-over, while Watkins finished at 5-over after shooting a 40 on the back nine.
Second round play began Friday afternoon, but was not completed. Play will resume Saturday at 7:30 a.m. and will be followed by third round competition.
