CARY, N.C. --- A pair of East Carolina University men's tennis players were eliminated from contention in singles action today at the 2014 ITA Carolinas Region Championships at the Cary Tennis Center. Damien Brenard and Fredric Lehfeldt each lost their opening round match and were then eliminated from further play, falling in the first round of the consolation bracket.
Lehfeldt fell to 12th-seeded Adam Steryous of Furman in round one in three sets 6-0, 3-6, 6-2. After being blanked in the opening set, he rallied to force a deciding third set before falling.
