GREENVILLE, N.C. --- The East Carolina men's tennis program opens its fall season this weekend as it hosts the annual Pirate Shootout featuring matches against opponents from Coastal Carolina, James Madison, Richmond and UNCG. Play begins Friday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. at the River Birch Tennis Center.
Weather permitting, all matches will be contested outdoors, with the matches moving to the ECU Indoor Tennis Center should conditions deter. There is no admission charge at either venue.
The shootout is an individual, flight tournament that will not utilize team scoring.
