
Pirates Fall To Elon In Regular Season Finale

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The East Carolina University men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to Elon Saturday at the River Birch Tennis Center in its final dual match of the regular season.
The Pirates finished the regular season with an overall record of 11-12 and will return to competition at the 2015 American Athletic Conference Championships which begin Wednesday, April 15, in Tulsa, Okla.
The Pirates' doubles team of Colin Roller and Kasey Countee defeated Jordan Kaufman and Robert Lindgren of Elon 6-2 on court two, but proceeded to lose on courts one and three to give the Phoenix a 1-0 edge heading into singles play.
Elon took five of the six singles matches from the Pirates. Patriek Wolterbeek earned the lone point for the Pirates after beating Chris Humphreys on court six in straight sets 7-6 (4), 7-5.
