April 16, 2015 | Baseball
GREENVILLE, N.C. - East Carolina Head Baseball Coach Cliff Godwin has announced the addition of a midweek game against Liberty to be played on April 29 at Liberty Baseball Stadium with a first pitch scheduled for 3 p.m. (ET). The game was added to the schedule following Tuesday night's rain out with UNC Wilmington, which was to be played in Greenville.
The Pirates (22-15) and Flames (23-14) have met on the diamond 10 times with ECU holding a slim 6-4 all-time advantage in the series. The two teams met early this year in the 12th Annual Keith LeClair Classic with the Flames coming out on top 4-3 on Feb. 22 inside Lewis Field at Clark-LeClair Stadium. Liberty has won the last three meetings between the two clubs dating back to 2011.
ECU, 4-5 in American Athletic Conference play, will take on UConn (24-13, 5-4) this weekend in Storrs, Conn. in a three-game league series starting Friday, Apr. 17 at 3 p.m. (ET).
