
Pirates' Season Ends With Loss To Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. - The East Carolina University men's tennis team saw its season come to an end on Friday afternoon, dropping a 4-0 decision to No. 2 seed Tulsa in the quarterfinals of the 2015 American Athletic Conference Championships at the Case Tennis Center.
The seventh-seeded Pirates (11-13) entered singles play needing to battle from behind after dropping the doubles point with losses at first and second doubles.
Junior Tendai Tapfuma and senior Patriek Wolterbeek partnered at first doubles, dropping a 6-4 decision to the Hurricanes' Or Ram-Harel and Alejandro Espejo, while junior Colin Roller and freshman Kasey Countee dropped a 6-3 decision at second doubles to Matthew Kirby and Dylan McCloskey resulting in the point earned by Tulsa.
In singles play, the Pirates dropped straight-set decision at the top three positions ending the match.
