GREENVILLE, N.C. - No. 19 East Carolina will travel to in-state foe Duke for a midweek matchup at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park on Tuesday, Mar. 22. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. (ET).
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THE GAME
• The Pirates are coming off a 2-2 week where they claimed a non-conference home series against Monmouth at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium (W/4-3, W/5-2, L/4-0) … Earlier last week ECU fell to No. 6 North Carolina at home 17-4 … ECU owns a 33-12-1 all-time record in the series and has won 13-straight games dating back to 1998 … Last year the Pirates topped the Blue Devils 3-2 in 10 innings thanks to Luke Lowery's RBI single that pushed across Cam Snow from second base.
• ECU is ranked in the national polls for the fourth-straight week after garnering a No. 19 ranking by D1Baseball.com … The Pirates are receiving votes in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and USA Today Coaches poll.

• East Carolina (13-7) comes into this week's action having dropped 4 of its last 6 games, but did claim a non-conference series win over Monmouth (Mar. 18-20) ... The Pirates own a 10-4 record at home and are 3-3 on the road ... ECU claimed its fourth-straight LeClair Classic title picking up wins over SE Louisiana and Maryland (Mar. 4-6) ... ECU is ranked in the national polls for a fourth consecutive week (see page 11) garnering a No. 19 ranking by D1Baseball, while receiving votes in the USA Today Coaches poll .. • Cliff Godwin, who was named the 16th head coach in school history on June 25, 2014, was a four-year letterwinner for the Pirates from 1998-2001 ... He has been a part of eight NCAA Regional and two College World Series teams at the Division I level as an assistant coach and head coach ... Godwin guided the Pirates to a 40-win season, an American Athletic Conference Tournament title and a berth in the Coral Gables Regional -- its first NCAA Regional since 2012 -- in his first year at the helm ... Named 2015 AAC Coach-of-the-Year and was inducted into the George Whitfield Hall of Fame in January of 2016 ... Currently owns a 53-29 overall record (.646 percentage) as a head coach ...
