Conover, Stephenson and Taylor are each averaging 2-over-par per round this season with Spires carding an average round of 3-over-par. Conover is coming off his best performance of the fall after firing a 5-under-par 211 at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate, tying for fourth. Taylor won the team's only other top-10 finish of the season, tying for seventh at the season-opening Wolf Run Intercollegiate.
COACH'S QUOTE
"To have a chance in the final round, to be in that top three with a chance to win the tournament, playing in the last group (is where we need to be. We play a sport where unfortunately we don't get to play defense so we can't control what any other team does. This is our last tournament of the fall and we really want to end it off on a good note, just showing improvement from beginning to end." - ECU Head Coach Andrew Sapp (told to The East Carolinian)
