RESULT
UCF held ECU to 31.9 percent shooting and forced 21 turnovers as the Knights defeated ECU, 59-39, Sunday afternoon inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.

TURNING POINT
After ECU (6-7, 0-2 The American) scored the opening two points of the second half, UCF (10-4, 1-1) answered with a 16-0 run to turn a nine-point halftime lead into a 23-point cushion with 13:53 to play. The Pirates pulled within 11, 45-34, with 9:15 to play, but the Knights scored eight unanswered to push its lead back to 19 with 5:57 remaining.

ECU PLAYER-OF-THE-GAME
Senior B.J. Tyson was the only Pirate to score double figures, finishing with 13 points. He also grabbed seven rebounds, which tied for the team lead.

UCF PLAYER-OF-THE-GAME
A.J. Davis scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, going 6-of-11 from the field and 5-of-8 at the free throw line. He also handed out three assists and was credited with one steal.
