RESULT
East Carolina had its three-game home winning streak snapped Saturday as the Pirates fell to UCF, 61-58, inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. The Pirates led by six, 56-50, with 3:48 to play, but the Knights put together a late rally led by five clutch points from Matt Williams to earn their fourth-straight win in the series. UCF scored 22 points off 16 Pirate turnovers and netted 13 points on 13 offensive rebounds.

TURNING POINT
While the Pirates attempted to call timeout, UCF's Antonio Davis picked up the loose ball and took it coast-to-coast for the go-ahead basket with 1:38 remaining. The Knights finished the game on an 11-2 run, holding ECU to 1-of-7 shooting in the final 3:48.

ECU PLAYER-OF-THE-GAME
Andre Washington was a perfect 5-of-5 from the field, finishing with 10 points, seven rebounds and five blocks.

UCF PLAYER-OF-THE GAME
Nick Banyard posted his second double-double of the season, scoring a game-high 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including 3-of-4 from outside the 3-point arc. He also grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds and played 37 minutes.

GAME NOTES
The game featured nine ties and nine lead changes … Four players score double figures for the Pirates led by Michel Nzege with 11 points … In addition to Washington, Jeremy Sheppard and Kentrell Barkley also scored 10 points each … Senior Caleb White made his 110^th career start, setting a new ECU record for career starts … Barkley, who scored double figures for the ninth straight game, didn't play in the first half for disciplinary reasons … Junior B.J. Tyson became the 20^th player in school history to score 1,100 career points … Washington moved into third-place on the school's single-season blocked shots list with 79 … Sheppard scored double digits for the third time in the last four games.
