Softball To Host JMU And Pittsburgh This Weekend In Greenville

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Due to impending inclement weather in Virginia this weekend, the JMU Invitational - which was to feature the No. 13/14 Dukes, (RV) Pittsburgh and East Carolina in Harrisonburg - has been cancelled. Instead, all three teams will take part in a round robin event in Greenville at the ECU Softball Stadium Thursday through Saturday.

The Pirates and Panthers will kick things off Thursday at 4 p.m. Friday, JMU and Pitt will match up at 11 a.m. before East Carolina takes on the Panthers and Dukes at 1:30 and 4 respectively. The weekend wraps up Saturday with Pitt and JMU facing off at 10 a.m. and the Pirates and Dukes matching up at 12:30 p.m.

Ticketing will be in effect for the event. Adult general admission is $6 each day while youth (12 and under) are $3. Reserved chairback seating is also available for $10.

Thursday, March 9
Pittsburgh at East Carolina – 4 p.m.

Friday, March 10
Pittsburgh vs. JMU – 11 a.m.
JMU at East Carolina – 1:30 p.m.
Pittsburgh at East Carolina – 4 p.m.

Saturday, March 11
JMU vs. Pittsburgh – 10 a.m.
JMU at East Carolina – 12:30 p.m.
