Dance Team Roster Revealed For 2017-18

The East Carolina University Department of Athletics is proud to announce the dancers who will make up the 2017- 2018Â ECU Dance Team after hosting auditions April 23.
"It was extremely exciting to see the level of interest and talent that was displayed at this year's auditions," said coach Kristin Jeffries. "It's going to be a very exhilarating year."
The 2017-18 ECU Dance Team consists of a diverse squad of 20 dancers, featuring 15 returnees and five newcomers. Performing as a part of the squad will be veterans Alex Barlow (Kannapolis), Mariana Brinkley (Prior Lake, Minn.), Jenna Harbour (Mount Holly), Sarah Pearce (Fuquay Varina), Jordan Everett (Goldsboro), Morgan Magnarella (Seven Springs), Savannah Mangum (Durham), Kirsten Powell (Charlotte), Sydney Warren (Kernersville) along with Taylor Whaley (Ayden), Mary-Claire Choplin (Fuquay Varina), Olivia Coleman (Charlotte), Brooke Harris (Gainsville, Va.), Kerri Ann Jayne (Clayton), and Christie Stuckey (Belmont). Joining the veterans are Cassidy Church (Mount Holly), Julia Cross (Endicott, N.Y.), Karley Flynn (Pompton Lakes, N.J.), Melanie May (Middlesex, N.J.) and Blaire Reagan (Belmont).

Each dancer was judged on technical skills a jazz and hip-hop routine along with a pom routine, and had a personal interview.
Barlow, Brinkley and Harbour were selected to serve as team captains.
