
ECU Opens Fall Season At Minnesota Invitational

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's golf team will open the 2017-18 season Monday, Sept. 11 when it participates in the Minnesota Invitational, which is hosted by the University of Minnesota. The two-day event will be played at the par-72, 6,248-yard Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury, Minn.
The Pirates, who claimed the tournament title in 2014 and finishes second in 2015, will be joined in the 14-team field by BYU, Georgia, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Michigan State, Minnesota (host), North Texas, Notre Dame, Purdue, Southern California, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.
ECU Head Coach Kevin Williams will use a line consisting of senior Lisa Pettersson, junior Carley Cox, sophomores Dorthea Forbrigd and Grace Yatawara and true freshman Kathryn Carson.
The 54-hole tournament begins with 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (ET).
