GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's soccer team (4-0-1) is set to take on the NC State Wolfpack (4-1) Thursday night in Raleigh at the Dail Soccer Field/Track Complex. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

The Pirates enter Thursday's match 3-2-1 all-time against the Wolfpack. Last time the two met, NC State defeated ECU 2-0 on Sept. 8, 2016. ECU is 1-1-1 in away matches most recently tying NC State 2-2 in double overtime on Sept. 11, 2009 in Raleigh.

ECU is off to its best start in program history and has posted three-straight shutouts. Last time out, the Pirates earned a 0-0 draw against former Conference USA foe Old Dominion on Sunday. Goalkeeper Michelle Newhouse is 3-0-1 and hasn't allowed a goal in her last 293 minutes in net. She currently ranks 14th in the nation in goals against average (0.237). Courtney Cash leads the Pirates offensively with six points this season including a pair of assists in ECU's season opening overtime win against Dayton. Annah Lindberg has also tallied two goals this season while a total of five Pirates have scored a goal this season.

NC State is led by Tziarra King who has scored three goals and tallied four assists for 10 points through the Wolfpack's first five matches. Kia Rankin, Richarda Walkling and Paige Griffiths all have had multiple goals as well. Grayson Cameron and Sydney Wooten have split time in goal this season. Cameron holds a 1-0 record without allowing a goal in 125 minutes while Wooten has allowed three goals in 324 minutes. Together the duo boasts a 0.60 goals against average and has made eight saves for a .727 saves percentage.
