GREENVILLE, N.C. – Riding a perfect start to the season, the ECU women's basketball team tries to start 4-0 for the first time since 2015 as the Pirates host Kennesaw State on Sunday afternoon in Williams Arena inside Minges Coliseum.

ECU (3-0) has started the season with three home victories. So far, Raven Johnson has led the way offensively. Johnson has been the leading scorer in all three games for ECU and is averaging 16.7 points per game and has hit a team-best seven threes. Johnson is also second on the team in rebounding (4.7 rpg), assists (3.0 apg) and made free throws (7).

Lashonda Monk and Destiny Campbell are the other two Pirates currently scoring in double figures. Monk is averaging 12.7 ppg and leads the team at the free throw line, shooting 18-of-21 (.857) from the charity stripe. Campbell is scoring 10.7 ppg and leads the team with seven blocks, all of which came in the win over Monmouth. Campbell is shooting a team-best 14-of-24 (.583) from the field and her 14 rebounds trail only Salita Greene's 20 boards.

Kennesaw State comes to Greenville carrying a 2-2 record. The Owls have sandwiched wins over Middle Georgia State and Furman around losses to Seton Hall and UMBC. Kamiyah Street leads Kennesaw State with 24.3 points per game, including a season-high 41 against Seton Hall. Alexis Poole is second on the team in scoring (13.5 ppg) and leads the team in rebounding (9.5 rpg) while Amani Johnson has a team-best 23 assists.

ECU is 1-0 all-time against Kennesaw State, with the lone meeting coming last season. The Pirates traveled to Kennesaw, Ga., last December and left with a 66-56 victory. Â Thais Oliveira led ECU with 22 points in the win, shooting a perfect 9-of-9 from the field.
