ECU Opens Spring Schedule At UCF Challenge

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The ECU women's golf team will open the 2018 spring portion of its schedule Sunday, Feb. 4 participating in the UCF Challenge. The three-day event is being held at the par-72, 6,349-yard Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Fla.
The Pirates, who completed the fall with a 56-16 record and are ranked No. 38 by Golfstat, will be joined in the 16-team field by (26) Iowa State, (27) Wisconsin, (29) Vanderbilt, (34) Auburn, (41) Miami, Fla., (44) Texas Tech, (51) Memphis, (56) Penn State, (59) SMU, (63) Old Dominion, (68) UNC Wilmington, (71) Mississippi State, (84) UCF, (86) Tulane and (139) College of Charleston.
ECU Head Coach Kevin Williams will use a lineup consisting of senior Lisa Pettersson, juniors Carley Cox, Dorthea Forbrigd and Kate Law, along with freshman Kathryn Carson.
The 54-hole tournament begins with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday and will be followed with 18 holes on Monday and Tuesday. Pirate fans can get updated scoring on www.Golfstat.com.
