Tampa, Fla. – ECU women's basketball (13-11, 5-6) fell on the road to No. 23 USF 88-47 at the Sun Dome in Tampa, Fla.

The purple and gold committed only 14 turnovers, which is tied for the second-lowest in a single-game this season.

For the first time this season junior Alex Frazier led the Pirates in scoring, finishing with 13 points. Frazier notched 10 of her points in the first on 5-of-7 shooting from the field. ECU freshman Lashonda Monk added eight points, five rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Both teams started quickly and traded field goals in the first quarter. A jump shot from Frazier would bring the Pirates within two points with just over two minutes left in the opening quarter and would be the closest the Pirates would get to taking the lead.

The Bulls would score 20 or more points in three of the four quarters, excluding the third, where USF recorded 18 points.

USF has extended its winning streak to four games. Four Bulls reached double-figures as junior Kitija Laksa led the team with 22 points on 10-of-17 shooting. The No. 23 ranked team in the country shot 52.7 percent from the field and converted on 14-of-28 three-point attempts.

The Pirates now trail the Bulls in the all-time series 6-7, while Heather Macy is 1-6 in her career.
