GREENVILLE, N.C. – No. 19 ECU closes out its six-game home stand this week playing host to College of Charleston on Wednesday, March 7 at Lewis Field inside Clark-LeClair Stadium. First pitch is slated for 3 p.m. (ET).
MUSTACHE MARCH
• The entire team, including the coaching staff and support staff, will participate in Mustache March in order to raise awareness and money for the Jim "Catfish" Hunter chapter. Mustache March will create a fun and entertaining environment for Pirate fans throughout the month of March, which will also help towards ALS research. Please join our efforts of Striking Out ALS by donating to our event. All money raised throughout the season will go straight to the ALS Association, and more specifically the Jim "Catfish" Hunter chapter. During the 15th-Annual Keith LeClair Classic (Mar. 2-4) members of the local ALS Chapter will be on hand to receive donations. Also, please follow our status through various social media outlets (@ECUBaseball, and many more), as well as on the field. THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIS SERIES
• ECU (8-3) owns a 9-4 all-time record against CofC (10-2) that dates back to 1998 … The Pirates won last years meeting in Charleston taking the series 12-7 and 15-12 … The Cougars last one in 2006 claiming game three of the weekend tile 11-8.
• Despite going 2-2 last week, the Pirates continued to be ranked in three polls this week dropping one spot in D1Baseball (No. 19), moving up two in NCBWA (No. 22) and entering the first USA Today/Coaches (No. 23) … ECU did drop completely out of Baseball America and Collegiate Baseball's weekly polls.
PIRATE QUICK HITS (prior to midweek)
• Alec Burleson will make his second career start when he toes the rubber in Game One against Charleston on Tuesday ... The lefty has appeared in four games allowing one run (unearned) on five hits in 7.0 innings ... In the field, he has started nine games posting at least one base knock in seven contests with six RBI and five runs scored.
• Jake Agnos is slated to start Wednesday's game against the Cougars ... The lefty started three games (all on the weekend) but hasn't been able to work past the third frame ... He has allowed eight runs (seven earned) on 11 hits in 7.2 innings thus far.
• Spencer Brickhouse has collected at least one hit in 9 of 11 games this season ... He belted his team-leading third home run vs. UNC (Feb. 24) in Durham, a three-run shot ... He collected four hits and had four RBI in the three-game tilt against the Tar Heels ... With his double in the third inning against SJU, he extended his current on-base streak to 27-straight games ... Has five career game-winning RBI (one in 2018).
• Connor Litton leads the team in hits (18) and multi-hit games (6), while sharing the lead in total bases (26) and standing second in average (.439) ... Currently has a seven-game hit streak heading into CofC series ... Collected 6 hits in UNC series (two in each game).
• Brady Lloyd stands third on the team with a .429 (9-for-21) average ... Ranks third on the team with 10 runs scored trailing Brickhouse by one ... At Campbell, he drove in a career-best two runs and registered his second career game-winning RBI with a single in the third inning ... Has three multi-hit games this season.
• Seth Caddell (.200) and Jake Washer (.480) are splitting time behind the plate ... Caddell had a career night at Campbell collecting three hits and scoring a pair of runs ... He hit his first collegiate home run against SJU (solo) ... Washer leads the team with a .480 (12-for-25) batting average ... Tallied career-best three hits vs. Pepperdine and drove in a career-high 4 runs at UNC (Feb. 25).
• Dwanya Williams-Sutton is batting .273 on the season with four RBI and a team second-best eight runs ... Tied for team lead in stolen bases (3), while leading in HBP (3).
• Trey Benton earned AAC Pitcher-of-the-Week honors (Feb. 26) after striking out a career-best 11 batters against UNC (Feb. 23) in six innings of work for his second win of the season ... In three starts he boasts a 2-1 record with a 2.65 ERA and has 22 Ks to 0 BBs in 17 innings.
• Chris Holba is a two-time AAC Honor Member ... In three starts, he is 3-0 with 24 strikeouts to just two walks ... Hasn't allowed a run in 18.2 consecutive innings, while combining on two shutouts.
• ECU's starting pitching is sporting a 2.68 ERA through 11 games ... They have allowed 18 runs (15 earned) on 43 hits with 57 strikeouts to just 14 walks while holding opposing hitters to a .236 clip ... The bullpen has allowed 20 runs (17 earned) with 41 strikeouts and 18 walks in 48.2 innings for a 3.14 ERA ... The pen has allowed one inherited to score (15 of 40; 37.5 percent).

GODWIN AT A GLANCE
• Cliff Godwin, who was named the 16th head coach in school history on June 25, 2014, was a four-year letterwinner for the Pirates from 1998-2001 … He has been a part of nine NCAA Regional and two College World Series teams at the Division I level as an assistant coach and head coach …During his three years at the helm of the program, Godwin has guided ECU to a pair of NCAA Regional berths (2015-16), a Super Regional appearance (2016), an American Athletic Conference (2015) Tournament title and a 118-76-1 (.608) overall record … Three players have earned All-America honors, five were named to the Charlottesville All-Regional Team, six took home all-conference honors (five first-teamers), seven were selected as American Player-of-the-Week, while three have been drafted by Major League Baseball teams … Named 2015 AAC Coach-of-the-Year and was inducted into the George Whitfield Hall of Fame in January of 2016 … Recently he was named to the 2018 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team staff where he will serve as the third base and hitting coach … As a player, he helped former ECU skipper Keith LeClair's teams post a 169-76 four-year ledger, including 46-plus wins in each of his final three seasons (16-16 in '99, 46-18 in '00 and 47-13 in '01) … ECU won a pair of CAA Tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Regionals every season from 1999 to 2001 … The Pirates were the top seed in their regional all three years, including a No. 7 national seed in 2001 where they advanced to the Super Regional round before being eliminated by Tennessee.
