The 2018-19 ECU Dance Team Roster Announced

The ECU Department of Athletics is proud to announce the dancers who will make up the 2018-19 ECU Dance Team which was determined by auditions held on Sunday, April 22.
The 2018-19 ECU Dance Team consists of a diverse squad of 19 dancers, featuring 13 returnees and six newcomers. Performing as a part of the squad will be veterans Mary-Claire Choplin (Fuquay-Varina), Olivia Coleman (Monroe), Julia Cross ( Endicott, N.Y.), Jordan Everett (Goldsboro), Karley Flynn (Pompton Lakes, N.J.), Kerri Ann Jayne (Clayton), Morgan Magnarella (Seven Springs), Savannah Mangum (Durham), Melanie May (Middlesex, N.J.), Blaire Reagan (Belmont), Christie Stuckey (Gastonia), Sydney Warren (Kernersville) and Taylor Whaley (Ayden). Joining the veterans are sophomore Aysia Bradsher (Burlington) along with freshmen Emma Beaty (Belmont), Sara Denton (Gastonia), Lindsay Fisher (Wake Forest), Makensie McDaniel (Belmont), and Alyssa Scott (Winnabow).
Each dancer was judged on technical skills, jazz, hip-hop and pom routines along with a personal interview.
"We had a great amount of talent displayed at tryouts this year," coach Kristin Jefferies said. "It is very exciting to see so many current and incoming students with a true excitement and passion for ECU. I am looking forward to another exciting year."
Everett, Warren and Whaley were selected to serve as team captains.
