RESULT
The Pirates captured their first tournament title under head coach Andrew Sapp Tuesday with a final round of 298 to finish one stroke in front of Georgetown to win the ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley Country Club.

NEWS & NOTES

Stephenson, Campbell's Amarin (Ray) Kraivixien and Georgetown's Sam Madsen tied for first-place at 2-over-par with Madsen claiming medalist honors on the second hole of a sudden death playoff.
It was Stephenson's first first-place finish of his collegiate career.
Tim Conover and Jackson Spires tied for sixth-place at 5-over-par. It was Conover's second top-10 finish of the season and eighth of his career. Spires earned his first top-10 finish of the season.

COACH'S COMMENTS
"It was a battle coming down the stretch. Nerves were churning, but it was good to see the guys come through and finish with the victory. It was a lot of fun to watch; great experience for them to be under that kind of pressure and bring it home at home.
