Over 50 ECU Student-Athletes Eligible For Commencement Activities

GREENVILLE, N.C. --- More than 50 student-athletes are eligible to participate in East Carolina University's Spring Commencement Ceremony which will be held Friday, May 4, at 7 p.m. in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium and will be capped off with a celebratory display of fireworks.

The keynote speaker will be Linda McMahon, head of the U.S. Small Business Administration and ECU alumna.
The spring ceremony will commemorate the accomplishments of 5,479 graduates who have completed their degrees or will do so this summer.
Fourteen members of the swimming and diving program are eligible to participate in this weekend's activities as are 13 members of the football team. The soccer team has six student-athletes set to become ECU alumni, while the track and field and baseball program have five each. Women's tennis will each produce four graduates with volleyball supplying three new alumna each, while softball generated two graduates. Men's basketball, men's tennis and women's golf each have one student-athlete eligible to partake in commencement ceremonies.
