BROWN SUMMIT, N.C. – Junior Dorthea Forbrigd shot an even-par 216 claiming a share of 11th place at the 2019 Bryan National Collegiate Sunday. The three-day, 54-hole event was being held at the par 72, 6,305-yard Bryan Park Champions Course.

For Forbrigd, it was her 16th career Top 15 finish (third this season) and marked the ninth time she has shot even-par or better since joining the program in the Fall of 2016. The Oslo, Norway native shot rounds o 75, 71 and 70 and ranked among the tournament leaders in eagles (t1st), par-3 scoring (t4th/even), total birdies (t10th/10) and par-4 scoring (t14th/2-over).

The Pirates (64-61), who are ranked No. 49 by Golfstat, finished eighth after posting rounds of 303, 295 and 291 for a 54-hole score of 889 (25-over) and picked up a win over No. 15 Virginia. Host and No. 12 Wake Forest claimed the team title with a score of 830 (34-over par) finishing 32 strokes ahead of No. 36 North Carolina (862). Rounding out the Top 5 were NC State (866), Charlotte (876) and No. 30 Oregon State (883).

Senior Carley Cox (74-77-74=225) finished tied for 37th, while sophomore Kathryn Carson (80-75-71) and junior Grace Yatawara (78-72-76) posted scores of 226 for a share of 40th place. Rounding out the Pirates roster was senior Kate Law (76-79-77=232) who finished 70th. Playing as an individual, junior Siranon Shoomee (77-77-74) claimed a share of 49th with a score of 228.

ECU will return to action on Sunday, April 14 when it participates in the American Athletic Conference Championships which will be held in Palm Coast, Fla.
