As we all deal with these complex times due to COVID-19, we want to thank you for your continued support and loyalty to ECU Athletics and the Pirate Club. Your investment in the Pirate Club and football season tickets are critical for the funding of all our sports programs through scholarships.
Â
We are anxiously awaiting the return of sporting events in the fall, including an exciting season of football in Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The priority deadline for football season tickets remains June 10.
Â
It is important our supporters feel comfortable and confident when they invest in the Pirate Club and 2020 football season tickets, so we wanted to answer some frequently asked questions.

Are the Pirates going to be playing football in 2020?
We are planning to play football in the fall and welcoming all our student-athletes back to campus for the fall semester. ECU Athletics will follow guidelines set forth by the University, local, state, and federal government officials. We continue to monitor all the information about COVID-19 and assure you our top priority is our fans. A variety of safety protocols are being discussed and will be relayed in a timely manner. In the meantime, we hope that you and your family stay safe, healthy and continue to practice social distancing.
Â
Will I get a refund if football season is disrupted?
Yes. You will have multiple options, although our expectation is that we will play football. If games are not played or certain games are impacted by COVID-19, you can do one of the following.

- Receive a full refund for all impacted games.
- Receive credit to your account for 2021 football season tickets.
- Ticket credit amounts can be converted to a charitable donation to the Pirate Club to assist with student-athlete scholarships. This would be a tax-deductible donation (no priority points) and not applied towards your 2020 Pirate Club Annual Scholarship Fund commitment. Each account will still receive two (2) priority points awarded for purchasing season tickets and maintain consecutive years of season ticket purchases.
