ECU Heads To Grandover Collegiate For Fall Finale

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The East Carolina men's golf team will wrap up its fall season Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 23-24, at the Grandover Intercollegiate at the Grandover Country Club – East Course and will feature 16 teams from primarily across the southeast.

The tournament format will consist of 36 holes of stroke play Saturday followed by 18 additional holes on Sunday. This year's field will be made up of Appalachian State, Bellarmine, Charleston Southern, Davidson, Duke, Elon, George Washington, Mercer, North Carolina A&T, Richmond, Samford, Toledo, VCU and Wofford, along with host UNCG and ECU.

The Pirates' lineup consists of A.J. Beechler, Stephen Carroll, Nic Brown, Connor Jones and Carter Bussee. Eston Lee and Jimbo Stanley will each compete as individuals.

Beechler finished second at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate this past weekend, carding a career-low of 8-under-par 208 for his first top 10 finish of the season. Beechler leads the Pirates with a scoring average of 71.44 strokes per round followed by Carroll at 71.78 strokes per round.

Teams will tee off beginning Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
