GREENVILLE, N.C. – Following a thrilling season-opening victory against Mercer, ECU is set to welcome Presbyterian to Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum for a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon.

The game is scheduled to tip off at 4 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+ with Patrick Johnson and Si Seymour on the call.

The contest marks the second of three straight non-conference matchups at home for the Pirates before the team heads to Estero, Fla. to compete in the Gulf Coast Showcase Nov. 21-23.

Series History
Saturday's matchup will be only the third meeting between the Pirates and the Blue Hose. ECU has won the first two meetings including a 76-56 victory when the programs last met on Dec. 16, 2016 in Greenville.

Last Time Out
Brandon Johnson scored a career-high 24 points and Javon Small added a career-high 23 points as East Carolina rallied from a 16-point first half deficit to defeat Mercer 77-75 on Tuesday night at Williams Arena in Minges Coliseum. The win marked the first career win as a head coach for Michael Schwartz and he became the fourth straight head coach to win their ECU debut.
Scouting the Blue Hose
Presbyterian is coming off a 58-70 loss to The Citadel on Nov. 10 and defeated Carolina University 76-42 on Nov. 7 to earn a season-opening win for only the third time in the program's Division I era. The Blue Hose return four starters and eight letterwinners off of last year's 12-20 team and added six newcomers including five freshmen, led by senior forward Winston Hill who was voted Preseason Second Team All-Big South. Hill finished fourth in the conference in rebounding with 6.5 boards per game and added 12.2 points per game.
Against the Big South
ECU holds an all-time 111-73 record against programs from the Big South. The Pirates will face two more Big South foes this season in Campbell on Dec. 2 and High Point on Dec. 21.
