GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina soccer returns home from a three-game road swing to take on the Florida Gators on Sunday at Johnson Stadium. The game is set for 10 a.m. Attendance is free to the public and the game will be available for streaming on ESPN+. Note: Originally scheduled for 1 p.m., the game will now kick off at 10 a.m.

Last Time Out
In the Pirates last game at George Mason a Carsen Parker brace, including the winner off a corner with 46 seconds to play that pushed ECU past the Patriots 2-1. All points in the game were scored by players who had not previously recorded a point on the season. Two goals for Carsen Parker matched her career best from March 21, 2021, but represented her first goals of the 2022 campaign. Parker's goals were assisted by Holly Schlagel and Sierra Lowery, their first respective assists of the year.

Scouting the Gators
Florida has played and will continue to play a tough schedule this season. Last time out, the Gators lost 5-0 to archrival and 10th-ranked Florida State. The Gators are 2-4-0 for the season, including a 1-2 record in road games.
Â
After a challenging, 4-12-4 2021 campaign, things don't get any easier for Florida with six more teams on their schedule either ranked or receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Poll.
Â
Series History
The teams have met just twice before, both Gator victories. First, in Sept. 1995, the Pirates fell 7-0 in Gainesville, Fla. Then again in Sept. 2003, it was once again a road loss for ECU, just 2-1 this time.
Â
The Pirates will be hunting their first win in the series on Sunday when Florida makes its first ever trip up to Greenville.
Â
Quotable
"We are very excited to be returning to Johnson Stadium this weekend to play the Florida Gators," said Head Coach Gary Higgins. "We have just finished a 3-game road stretch, where we tested ourselves against some really good teams. I am so proud of our team to come out of that stretch undefeated.
Â
"The Florida Gators are a fantastic team with a lot of history and tradition. We look forward to competing against them and showing them what Pirate Nation is all about. There have only been 12 teams fortunate enough to get their hands on the NCAA Division 1 National Championship trophy for Women's Soccer and the Florida Gators and George Mason are two of those teams. We are so grateful for the opportunity to play them both within the same week.
Â
"We hope to see you all out there on Sunday at Noon, cheering on our ladies. Thanks and as always, Go Pirates!"
