Scouting the Mustangs
SMU enters the game ranked No. 19 in the country with a 4-0-3 record including a 1-1 draw against then-No.11 Tennessee. Julissa Cisneros leads the way with five goals with 10 players recording one-or-more points through seven games on the season.

Last season SMU recorded a 12-5-2 record and reached the NCAA Tournament on an at-large bid, defeating Texas in the first round, 2-0, before falling to eventual National Champion Florida State in the second round.
Â
Series History
SMU leads the all-time series 10-6-3, with the most recent matchup coming in the AAC Tournament last season, a 2-1 Mustangs win. The two teams also met in September 2021, a 2-0 SMU win. The series started in 2005 in Greenville with a 2-0 SMU victory.
Â
Quotable
"We are so excited to start AAC play this week, against a very strong SMU side," said Head Coach Gary Higgins. "We are looking forward to hitting the road again and competing against a nationally ranked program.
Â
"SMU have set the standard over the last decade of what a top team looks like in our conference. They consistently compete for conference championships and NCAA tournament berths. These are the types of games we want to compete in and we are excited for the opportunity.
Â
"We are looking forward to arriving in Dallas and representing Pirate Nation with heart and passion. Thanks and Go Pirates!"
