Pirates Set for Conference Contest with Tulsa

GREENVILLE, N.C. – The East Carolina women's soccer team will return to American Athletic Conference play when the take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at Johnson Stadium on Thursday at 7 p.m. Attendance is free for fans and the game will be available for streaming on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Pirates fell at home last time out by a 2-0 margin to the UNC Greensboro Spartans. The game was the final non-conference contest of the season for ECU, finishing with a 5-4-1 mark in regular season non-conference play.

Scouting the Golden Hurricane
Tulsa enters the game carrying a matching 6-4-1 overall and 1-1-0 AAC record. The Golden Hurricane took down Temple in the first conference match before being dropped by South Florida in their second, both by 1-0 margins. Jordan Frederick and Madison Tokarchik lead the way with four goals, Quinn Turner has three and six others have scored on the season.

Tulsa entered 2022 off of a 6-9-1 (1-6-1 AAC) campaign a year ago.

Series History
ECU leads the all-time series 9-5-2 dating back to the 2005 season. The Pirates won the first five games of the series, but things have been more even since then. A draw a year ago ended a two-game ECU win streak, both by multiple goals.
