Last Time Out
The Pirates shellacked the Temple Owls in their last matchup. The 4-0 margin was true to the dominance of the team on the day as Sydney Schnell, Annabelle Abbott, Jazmin Ferguson and Lucy Fazackerley all scored. The Pirate defense also earned their eighth clean sheet of the season and Maeve English not only notched her seventh solo shutout but registered her first career assist on Schnell's goal.

Scouting the Tigers
Memphis enters the contest on an absolute tear. The Tigers are the class of the American again and have well earned their top-10 ranking. After dropping an early contest to then-No. 7 Alabama, the team has been on seven-game winning streak in which they have seldom been particularly challenged. The Pirates will look to change that Wednesday night.
Series History
The Tigers have controlled the all-time series with an 18-3-3 ledger dating back to 2002. The last matchup was a dandy, though, as the two teams met in the American Athletic Conference Tournament last season. The game went the distance in a defensive struggle before Memphis broke through on a wonder strike for the 1-0 win.

High-Level Tilt
A big game is nothing without context and Wednesday's match is nothing but context:
- The teams' combined win percentage of .8125 (18-3-3) is the highest for a home game in program history 10-plus games into the season. The percentage bests the previous high of .7857 (20-6) from 1999 vs. James Madison.
- The game is one for outright first in the conference. With ECU and Memphis sitting atop their respective division tables at 10 and 12 points, respectively, a win would vault the Pirates to the top of the league with four games to play. A win or draw would keep Memphis in front with an inside track to another AAC title.
