DALLAS, Texas. – The East Carolina men's basketball is set to hit the road this weekend as the Pirates embark on a two-game road trip beginning with SMU on Sunday afternoon inside Moody Coliseum.

Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. ET and the game will be streamed via ESPN+ with Chris Mycoskie and Brian Burton on the call.

Last Time Out
Brandon Johnson scored 16 points and RJ Felton scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half as East Carolina rallied from a 16-point second-half deficit to stun Cincinnati 75-71 inside Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum on Wednesday night. Ezra Ausar recorded his second straight double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds for the Pirates and Quentin Diboundje added 13 points and six rebounds. Jaden Walker rounded out the Pirates' double figure scorers with 10 points and added four assists. The 16-point comeback marks ECU's fourth double-digit rally of the season and is tied for the 10th largest comeback in program history since 1981.

Scouting the Mustangs
SMU is coming off an 80-65 home loss to Houston despite Zhuric Phelps' game-high 22 points. Phelps leads the Mustangs in scoring with 17.6 points per game and Samuell Williamson leads the team on the glass with 7.3 rebounds per game.

Series History
SMU leads the head-to-head series with East Carolina 19-6, but the Pirates defeated the Mustangs earlier this month 77-72 at Minges Coliseum. The Pirates have not won in Dallas since Feb. 23, 2012.

On This Date
ECU is 7-9 in games played on Feb. 19 since the 1960-61 season. The last time the Pirates played on this date was a 77-73 loss on the road to Memphis in 2020.
